Suck It Up Buttercup

Could Washington have any more weenies if they tried? I mean seriously. The latest political theatre going on in congress is the dog and pony show around the January 6 investigation. It was bad enough that our elected officials and their media pawns have called the riots at the capitol an “insurrection” and “bad as 9/11,” but now the performance of “We must never let this happen again” is on full display.

For months we have heard from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez how scared she was being blocks away from the melee. She commented after: “It was not an exaggeration to say that many members of the House were nearly assassinated. I didn’t even feel safe going to that extraction point because there were QAnon and white supremacist members of Congress who I felt would disclose my location and create opportunities to allow me to be hurt.”

I know she is all for women being drafted into the military but I wouldn’t want her in my foxhole. Would anyone?

But that is not the worst part. Little school girl Adam Schiff timed his cry at the investigation hearings almost perfectly. As he made his closing remarks during the committee meeting, he said “If we deem elections illegitimate merely because they didn’t go our way rather than trying to do better the next time, then God help us.” That’s rich, isn’t it? Let’s not forget the Dems have been calling every election since the early 2000’s where the GOP won as “illegitimate.”

If we were cynical, we would say he cried on demand for affect, however this is not his first cry in front of cameras. After the sham impeachment hearings, he cried also. Some say he is faking it; we say he is just a blubbering baby.

Let’s not forget about GOP in name only, Congressman Adam Kinzinger who demonstrated not only a good cry but other bizarre behavior at the January 6th committee spectacle. Kinzinger first laughed as he thanked his colleagues. “Thank you, Mr. Chairman, and thank you to my colleagues on the committee. Thank you to our witnesses,” chuckled Kinzinger, who cleared his voice to add “I never expected today to be quite as emotional for me as it has been.” And then the tears came like a summer thunderstorm. Now that is just embarrassing.

We might have missed it but did we see any of these clowns or their peers crying for the policeman, small business owners, residents who were attacked during the BLM riots last summer? Was a tear shed for the retired police officer killed trying to help a friend save his business? How about the young man killed in Seattle at the occupied area called CHOP? The young women beaten with a 2x4 in front of her business?

Don’t even start about how much they care for the common man. They sit and put on theater while they push for defunding police. Thousands die in the inner cities of America while they cry and get all emotional about the trashing of the capitol by guys in costumes and no guns. Childish little hypocrites. They deserve nothing but our disdain and to be kicked out of congress.

How about we elect some officials that are actually brave? Not Simone Biles or Naomi Osaka kind of brave. But brave as in doing the hard work, saying the truth and not treating the voting public as if they are their personal audience.
