HeartlandNews.net Banned from Twitter

HeartlandNews.net announced that they have been officially banned by Twitter. We caught up with Chief Nonsense Officer, Dean Erlandson at a recent company celebration where he announced, “We have finally reached the big time, we have been banned by Twitter! Good work everyone!”

The company noticed through their analytical tools they were losing followers at an alarming rate. They tried to investigate but quickly learned that the account had been frozen on January 6 and the HeartlandNews.net team could no longer access it. A company observer for Suncoast National Online Bank, Sir David D. Houdeshell said, “It looks like they got caught up in the great ‘conservative purge’ Twitter conducted in early January. It seems thousands of accounts were banned at that time. We are upgrading our outlook on Heartland from “hold” to “buy.”

Chief Communications Officer for HeartlandNews.net, Dave Crane said, “We were hoping this day would come. It signals that we are having an impact on the country’s discourse and the left does not like it one bit.” Mr. Erlandson elaborated, “Our nearly ten thousand followers loved how we made fun of the left’s hypocrisy in a sometimes cynical and irreverent ways. But as we all know; it drives them completely mad when you draw out the ridiculousness of their positions. And one thing the left can’t stand is being made fun of.”

Twitter has been unresponsive to HeartlandNews.net’s inquiry on what specific rule was broken. Mr. Crane said, “We are caught up in a feedback loop where we ask for clarification, they ask us to fill out a form and wait only to repeat the process again and again. I believe they are afraid to provide specifics because we will immediately demonstrate how the left does the same thing all the time without consequence.”

Mr. Erlandson said, “We respect the right of all businesses to choose who they want to do business with. After all Twitter is a private company. However, free thinking Americans know that squashing freedom of expression will eventually lead to tyranny. It seems the tyrants for the 21st century are the social media companies.”
