We believe that this trend, not tempered, will lead to destruction of these organizations and bring new and more focused competitors to the marketplace.   • National Basketball Association and National Football League: Viewership down double digits leading to gallop polling now showing more Americans have a negative view of the sports industry. As policy expert Lebron James pressures the league to focus more outside of basketball and the NFL pushes a narrative, ratings drop. Obviously, the league does not realize viewers have many options for entertainment,” said Mr. Erlandson.

  • News Media – Ratings and readership declines at CNN, MSNBC, network news and virtually every print newspaper corresponds to pushing “wokeness.” Mr. Erlandson quips, “Most organizations would have fired everyone at the top with these kinds of losses, instead most have doubled down and become even less news focused.” Meanwhile, more Americans now get their news from social media.

  • American Colleges and Universities. Although attendance has remained stable for now, they believe it is mostly due to global demand and easy financing. However, as more college students graduate with crushing debt and degrees that offer little employment prospects, traditional old school education is being questioned. Mr. Erlandson states “some push for free education or loan forgiveness. What we need is education and skill development worth paying for.”

  • ·Woke cities and states – That giant sucking sound is tax dollars leaving cities and states as people flee crime, high taxes and general poor living conditions. Mr. Erlandson said “we welcome wokeness refugees to the heartland but ask they leave behind the politics that ruined their previous home.” Chief Strategy Officer, Amy Tangari said, “We could go on and on with the social institutions that have lost sight of their organizational mission”. She added "they are not alone, Hollywood has gone off the deep end with the Academy Awards requiring woke quotas for best picture nominations. These organizations have completely lost their way. They are inviting competitors to take their business. It won’t happen overnight but it will happen.”

Mr. Erlandson warns that large organizations need to focus on what they do best and leave the wokeness to others. “They are spending large sums of money on diversity and inclusion and I have yet to see how this translates to higher worker productivity and effectiveness. They spend millions on media campaigns pushing woke narratives that alienate large swaths of their consumer and employee base.
