In the early months of the Joe Biden presidency, he and his administration pushed for stricter gun control in the United States. However, many gun rights advocates are cautiously optimistic that the administration has changed course and now is in favor of wide distribution of assault weapons as well military grade weaponry.
The pro 2nd amendment group cites as proof of a changing Biden policy the weapons provided to the Taliban as we retreated. Below is a partial list:
600,000+ assault weapons including M16, M249 saws, M24 sniper systems, 50 calibers, M203 grenade launchers, M134 mini guns, 20MM Gatlin guns and more than a million rounds of ammunition.

We understand how gun advocates interpret this move as a sign that Biden has changed his tune on guns. Joey Framer, gun advocate and trainer from Smithville, Missouri said, “Heck if we give this kinda weapons to terrorists, certainly the same consideration should be given to peaceful US citizens. I hear those grenade launchers are a hoot to fire.”
Billions of dollars in weapons supplied by the US taxpayers are now in the hands of terrorists. They need money and power to control their populace and make friends with other terrorist groups. What possibly can go wrong?
