The embattled Governor of New York has had one heck of a year. It started with the nursing home controversy surrounding a policy that included sending COVID infected people back into nursing homes resulting in thousands of unfortunate deaths. In addition, one woman after another have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment. Finally, if that was not enough, he also has to put up with his brother, CNN anchorman Chris Cuomo, arguably the dumbest person to ever graduate from Yale.
First, we need to be consistent when allegations by anyone are considered. Governor Cuomo should be assumed innocent until his day in court. No different than anyone on either side of the aisle is accused of wrong doing. But one thing is for sure, if what he said and did are true, the man has absolutely no game. Let’s review:
Former aide Lyndsey Boylan said Mr. Cuomo asked to play “strip poker” and continually touched her on arms, legs and back.
Health advisor, 25-year-old Charlotte Bennett was asked by the Governor about her sexual experience, said was open to a relationship with a younger woman and asked Ms. Bennet if she had “ever been with an older man” when alone inside his office.
Anna Rauch, an attendee to a wedding that the Governor also attended fought off his advances of touching. He called her “aggressive,” grabbed her face, and asked if he could kiss her.
In 2016 there is video of Andrew Cuomo saying to a female journalist, “I want to see you eat the whole sausage," after a now-former aide to Mr. Cuomo hands a plate with sausage to the reporter.
You can hear the collective “Yuk!” coming from all women while men turn red with a combination of embarrassment and outrage of him. In a lame attempt to cover for the allegations he said “I acknowledge some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation". (You think?) "To the extent anyone felt that way, I am truly sorry about that.”
Undoubtedly one of the most powerful men in politics… and he has no game. The fact that behavior like that would even be considered appropriate shows lack of awareness and how to treat a lady.
Johnny Bravo, mechanic from Buffalo, NY said, “Instead of writing a book talking about how great his leadership was during the pandemic he should have read the paperback in my office. ‘How to Talk to Hot Women: The 9 Secrets to Getting and Keeping the Woman (Women) of Your Dreams.’ It helped me land the most beautiful woman in the world, my wife.”
If the allegations against the governor are true it will be interested to see if the Emmys will rescind his award for self aggrandizing press conferences given last year. Our prediction the woke organization will be forced to.
His book, “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic,” talks about his ability to handle a crisis. It will be interesting to see how good he really is.
